Introducing the Dirora Theme Store

Dirora Team13 aprile 20268 min read

Today we are opening up the Dirora theme marketplace — a curated store of professionally designed storefront themes you can browse, preview, and install to your shop in a couple of clicks. Every theme can be trialled in a Live Sandbox Preview before you commit, so you see exactly how your own store would look running it — then install with a single click when you are ready. But the theme is only the starting point. The real announcement is everything that sits behind it: a Visual Theme Editor, a flexible Layout Engine, and 41 storefront widgets that let you shape a professional shop without touching a line of code.

Most platforms treat design as a bolt-on: pick a template, then pay for an app every time you want to add a feature. We take the opposite view. On Dirora the design tools, the sections that power your pages, and the commerce features they surface are all built into the platform — so building a store that looks bespoke is a matter of dragging, editing, and previewing, not installing and invoicing.

Browse, preview, install

Every store on Dirora starts from a theme, and the marketplace gives you a set of professionally designed starting points to choose from. Rather than a blank canvas, you get a coherent, considered layout — typography, colour, spacing, and section structure that already work together — spanning a range of styles:

  • Minimal and editorial: clean, generous whitespace that lets your product photography do the talking. A natural fit for considered, design-led brands.

  • Bold and modern: confident type, strong colour, and prominent calls to action for trend-forward brands that want to make an impression fast.

  • Classic and premium: refined serif typography and warm, understated palettes suited to artisan goods, jewellery, and higher-end lifestyle products.

  • High-energy and playful: big hero headings and vivid accents built for drops, launches, beauty, and lifestyle stores that thrive on momentum.

You do not have to guess how a theme will suit your catalogue. Open any theme in the Live Sandbox Preview and the marketplace renders a genuine storefront running that design, so you can judge it in context before committing. When one feels right, a single click installs it. Installing gives your shop an independent copy of the theme — your customisations are yours alone, and nothing you change touches the original marketplace version or any other merchant's store. Change your mind later and you can install a different theme without losing a single product or page; your content lives separately from the theme that presents it.

Make it yours with the Visual Theme Editor

The Visual Theme Editor is where a good starting point becomes your store. It is a drag-and-drop, what-you-see-is-what-you-get editor with a live preview that renders exactly what shoppers will see, so there is no guessing and no publish-and-pray. Everything happens in a single, visual workspace:

  • Colours and typography adjust from a settings panel that updates the whole storefront consistently — no chasing the same hex code across a dozen files. Advanced typography and custom fonts let you load your brand's own typefaces rather than settling for the defaults.

  • Sections can be added, removed, reordered, and configured individually, so you control the exact flow of every page from hero to footer. Template-specific layouts mean your home, product, collection, and cart pages can each have their own arrangement.

  • Header and footer blocks — navigation, search, cart, social links, payment badges — are fully editable so your shop feels finished from the first visit.

  • Responsive preview lets you check desktop, tablet, and mobile side by side, so a layout that shines on a laptop also works on the phones most of your customers actually use.

  • Drafts and undo/redo history mean you can experiment freely: build changes up as a draft, step back through your history if something does not land, and only publish when you are happy — without ever putting your live shop at risk.

For pixel-perfect control there is an escape hatch: add your own custom CSS, drop in a Custom HTML widget for bespoke markup, and manage your own images and files through theme assets — all optional, none required. Because the preview is live and the history is forgiving, the editor rewards experimentation. You can try a bolder hero, a different product-grid density, or a reordered homepage, see the result immediately, and keep only what works. If you want a guided tour of the workflow, our companion post on mastering the theme editor walks through it section by section.

The Layout Engine underneath

What makes all of this feel effortless is the Layout Engine beneath the editor. Rather than hard-coding pages, Dirora composes every page from modular sections that the engine arranges, renders, and keeps responsive across devices. That architecture is why you can reorder a homepage by dragging, why a change previews instantly, and why themes stay consistent as you customise them.

It also means your storefront is genuinely fast. Pages are server-side rendered on a high-performance Go backend, and images are optimised automatically, so the shops you build in the editor load quickly for real customers on real connections — a factor that directly affects conversion. If speed is a priority for you, our guide to store performance optimisation explains how much it matters and what to watch.

41 storefront widgets — features, not add-ons

The sections you drop into a page come from a library of 41 storefront widgets, each a self-contained building block for a specific job. This is where Dirora's "everything built in" approach becomes concrete: capabilities that other platforms sell as separate paid apps are simply widgets you place and configure.

The library spans the full arc of a storefront — hero banners and slideshows, featured and best-selling product grids, collection showcases, rich text and image-with-text blocks, galleries, testimonials and product reviews, FAQ and contact sections, countdown timers for launches, newsletter sign-up blocks, trust and payment badges, and more. Building a high-converting page becomes a question of arranging the right widgets in the right order — a topic we go deeper on in building high-converting product pages.

Because the widgets are native to the platform, they inherit your theme's styling automatically. Drop in a reviews block or a countdown timer and it already matches your fonts, colours, and spacing — no custom CSS required to make it look like it belongs.

Integrations that extend your storefront

A theme handles how your shop looks; integrations extend what it can do. The Dirora integrations directory connects your storefront to the tools you already rely on — analytics and marketing pixels, email and messaging, and the services that fit your particular workflow — so you can add capability without leaving the platform or writing glue code.

Payments are a good example of the built-in philosophy. Through our Stripe integration you can accept cards at standard rates with no markup, plus Apple Pay, Google Pay, and buy-now-pay-later via Klarna and Clearpay, all configurable from day one; PayPal is available too, and payouts land in roughly two to seven days. Combined with the widget library and the theme store, the result is a storefront that is complete — attractive, fast, and functional — the moment you launch it.

Everything built in — and honest pricing

The design tools, widgets, and integrations only add up to something if the pricing does not quietly claw it back. So we will be direct: Dirora charges no transaction fees on any plan. Card processing runs at Stripe's standard rates with no platform markup on top.

The only cut we take is a small platform fee, and it falls as you grow — 1.5% on the free Starter plan, 0.75% on Pro, 0.25% on Business, and 0% on Enterprise. You can build a genuinely professional store on the free Starter plan and start selling before you spend anything, then upgrade as your volume makes the maths work in your favour.

Design also connects to being found. Once your store looks the part, you can point a custom domain at it with automatic SSL — our custom domains and SSL guide covers the setup — and the platform's built-in SEO tools, structured data, and sitemap sync help search engines understand your pages.

Designing themes for the marketplace

The same tools that let you customise a store let you build a theme from scratch. Design and assemble it in the Visual Theme Editor, add your own imagery and files through theme assets, and check it in the Live Sandbox Preview exactly as a merchant would before installing. When it is ready, submit it for review from your Themes page; our team checks it over and, once approved, publishes it to the marketplace as a versioned, installable theme. Because every installed theme is an independent, versioned copy, publishing a new version of your design never disturbs the shops already running an earlier one.

Themes are one half of Dirora's extensibility story. The other is the app marketplace: the essentials of running a shop are built in, with no app-store tax for the basics, while an app ecosystem of optional third-party apps and integrations — some free, some paid — is there when you want to go further.

What is next

The theme marketplace, the Visual Theme Editor, the Layout Engine, and the 41-widget library are live now, and we are actively expanding all of them — more themes, more widgets, and deeper integrations, alongside theme reviews and ratings to help you choose. It sits alongside the wider platform work we have been shipping, including our growing app ecosystem.

If you are starting fresh, the fastest way to see it in action is to open the editor and start dragging. Our getting started guide takes you from an empty shop to a live storefront, and everything you build is yours to keep on a platform that does not charge you a transaction fee to grow.

Domande frequenti

What is the Dirora theme marketplace?

It is a curated store of professionally designed storefront themes you can browse, preview, and install in a couple of clicks. You can trial any theme in a Live Sandbox Preview — a real storefront running that design — before committing, then install it with a single click. Each theme is a fully designed starting point that you customise in the Visual Theme Editor, and installing creates an independent copy, so your changes never affect the original or other merchants.

Can I preview a theme before installing it?

Yes. Every theme in the marketplace can be opened in a Live Sandbox Preview, which renders a genuine storefront running that design so you can judge it in context. When you are happy, installing is a single click, and it never affects your live shop until you choose to publish your changes.

Do I need to know how to code to customise a Dirora theme?

No. The Visual Theme Editor is a drag-and-drop, live-preview editor. You adjust colours and typography from a settings panel, add and reorder sections, and edit your header and footer visually. Undo and redo history lets you experiment safely. For advanced control you can add custom CSS, but it is optional.

What are the 41 storefront widgets?

They are the modular sections you drop into a page — hero banners, product grids, collection showcases, reviews, testimonials, FAQs, countdown timers, newsletter sign-ups, trust badges, and more. Because they are built into the platform, they inherit your theme's styling automatically, so capabilities other platforms sell as paid apps are simply widgets you place and configure.

Does Dirora charge transaction fees on themes or sales?

There are no transaction fees on any plan, and card processing runs at Stripe's standard rates with no platform markup. The only cut is a small platform fee that falls as you grow: 1.5% on the free Starter plan, 0.75% on Pro, 0.25% on Business, and 0% on Enterprise. You can build and launch a full store on the free plan.

Can I change my theme later without losing my content?

Yes. Your products, pages, and store data are separate from the theme that presents them, so you can restyle your storefront in the editor whenever you like. Because each applied theme is your own independent copy, you can experiment with layout and design without risk to the underlying content.
